So HAUTE: Our Favorite Hair Trends Straight from the Runway

Image

From India to Paris, hair has stolen all the runway shows this season. But, only the best looks make it off the runway to the streets and red-carpet. Here’s the haute-est picks for runway looks this season.

1. Braided Side Swoop

My personal favorite braid is the french braided side swoop worn by the models at Deepika Govind’s runway show this spring.

2. Romantic “Milk Maid” Braids

Whether paired with a center part or wrapped around loosely, updo, the milkmaid braid is simple, romantic, elegance.

3. Hair Jewelry

Nicole Richie and Jennifer Lawrence are just a few celebrities recently spotted sporting this flashy hair trend.

Zelo Global Culture Holiday Series

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!   Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year not for the obvious family, magnificent feasts and black Friday deals (trust me I take advantage of it all), but for the one day dedicated to giving thanks and being grateful for our many blessings.  Gratitude leads us all to abundance and a greater purpose.  Thanksgiving also marks the start of the holidays and as a result we begin a new holiday series.

As part of our culture diversity and Zelo’s expansion into so many countries we kick-off a new series over the holidays.  We are so fortunate to have an amazing team around the world willing to share their insights and point of view.  So here’s how it works, Zelo correspondents (men or women) from around the world will contribute information on a woman’s perspective of beauty in their home country (or country where they are residing).  They will share what makes a woman feel good about herself in other parts of the world, i.e. what priority is given to their looks (hair of course is of the most interest)  but makeup, fashion, etc.is also welcome.

We hope that you too will chime in and give us your impressions, support and advice as we go on this global journey together.

We’re so excited to be able to put this together on the Daily Frizz and we hope you will find it interesting, useful and hope you will share with your friends, family and readers.

Zooey Deschanel Stuns It at the World Series, Lauren Conrad to Pen New Beauty Book

Need the latest headlines in hair trend news? Come back every Monday for the The Frizz Report for the top styles, hair transformation, and runway trends of the previous week.

Who knew game 4 of the World Series would be a topic headline in so many fashion publications this past week! It’s true, Zooey Deschanel performed the National Anthem looking like an adorable all american girl. Her loosely curled half-up half-down style and her red and white striped dress had me going “aww”.

This girl can do no wrong I thought (at least with her style and overall quirky adorableness) although many protested when they noticed she left during the 7th inning of the game. She’s a busy girl, people! And I definitely want to see another new episode of New Girl come out soon, please! [More on the Performance]

Lauren Conrad has hit the headlines again this week. Yes, again! The once reality TV star turned fashion designer turned blogger turned hair trend icon (sorry LC, you’ve got us all confused already) is now turned AUTHOR. The elegant Conrad has announced she will be releasing a beauty book. I’m kind of excited, since I must admit, I love the blog she writes with her two beauty savvy friends, The Beauty Department.
